Tag Day 2010
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!
May 5th marks the 74th annual Pretty Lake Vacation Camp Tag Day event. Staff, board members, volunteers and members from the Downtown Kiwanis Club of Kalamazoo and the Junior League of Kalamazoo will be in bright blue aprons and carrying buckets throughout the downtown Kalamazoo mall and the Harding's and Walgreen's stores throughout the greater Kalamazoo area collecting donations from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. WKZO will be broadcasting live throughout the day at the Harding's on S. Westnedge by Crossroad's Mall. People who give a donation - of any amount - will be given a "tag" to proudly show that they gave their support to this worthy cause.
We set our goal high and hope to raise $15,000! Last year, we surpassed our goal and raised over $17,000! This speaks volumes to the commitment of our sponsors and for the many volunteers who helped solicit donations. It also speaks to the generosity of the individuals and organizations in our community. Pretty Lake Camp is truly the "community's camp" and for that we are grateful. We are confident that the community will, once again, help bring children who, for many reasons, would be unable to attend or afford a summer camp experience were it not for Pretty Lake Camp and those who generously support our work.
